Yes, we are. There are literally thousands of posters to be presented at the Society for Neuroscience 2011 conference in Washington DC (Nov 12 – 16). So much information, so little time? So how does one navigate this sea of neuroscience posters? Well, instead of wandering about, follow our guide below:
1. The SfN Events Site - it’s got all the information you need to find the SfN events you need to see and attend.
2. The SfN Poster Site - See a list of every poster session held over the course of the conference. If you click on the session, you can get a deeper look and view all of the posters for that session. Even cooler than that, you can click on a poster and see the authors, abstract, poster number, title, and even the location! Learn how to build your itinerary on Quartzy’s SfN Schedule Planning site.
3. Abstract FAQs - Get answers to commonly asked questions about SfN Abstracts (guidelines, authors, etc)
Now you’ve got a plan to make sure you see what you need to and so you don’t miss that piece of information that just might get you that PhD!
Get 50 free “Poster Cards” from Quartzy. They’re like business cards but for scientists. Here are the details:
1. 4″ by 6″ cards
2. Summary of your SfN poster (poster title, authors, Abstract or Take Home figure)
3. Your contact info on the card (name, picture, email address)
4. Hand the cards out to visitors to your poster and you’ll make much more of an impression!
Some of you haven’t made your poster yet and will cram at the last minute. Want some advice on how to put a killer poster together? The American Physiological Society has put together a pretty comprehensive “How-to” as far as scientific posters.
